last night i had this crazy dream. i was being held hostage in an attic and these two comedians were putting on some sort of a show but really they were just messing up the house. they let a lion out of its cage.
finally i escaped and the comedians were gone and the lion was just sitting in a hallway closet downstairs. i could only see its gigantic paw emerging from the dark.
i kept pinching myself to see if i was dreaming, and you know what – it hurt. so i thought that shit was real and i got very frightened. in conclusion, pinching yourself is not a good method for determining whether or not you are dreaming.

This morning I was walking through a hallway in my office, and I decided to close my eyes and see if I could make it all the way to the other end without walking into a wall or peeking. The hallway is about 20 feet long by 4 feet wide. Anyway, I made it to the other end and opened my eyes. Then I noticed that I sort of felt like I was in a dream…I guess it was mainly because closing your eyes while walking down a hallway in your office is not a normal ‘at work’ thing to do and I was kind of disoriented from squeezing my eyes tightly shut. Then I got really freaked out because I was afraid I would convince myself it was in fact a dream, and start acting a fool [eg punch my coworker in the face with a fork or start shredding patients charts] or commit some crime believing I was in a dream world with no repercussions. Basically it was crazy. I have a ridiculous fear of losing control and hate my job.
